Hello,
i tried to make an upgrade in order to use the tooltip and other new things,or resolved bugs.
but after the upgrade, with the Telerik Control Panel,it was a mess,he only made a backup of my example project, but when i tried to use the tooltip,i noticed that there is no kendo.tooltip.js ,in the /Content folder
i had only /kendo/2012.3.1315  subfolder where are a lot of js files, and the themes,so i have to change manually the reference to the folder where are the new version of files.

the question is what do i need to copy manually in order to use everything from the latest versions of kendo ui for MVC(controls, framework functions, etc) ?
i want to copy everything manually, and work with everything that i had before + the new features.in the real application i do not want to re-create the project from a template, just to put everything togheter nicely.

Regards,
Daniel
P.S:i attach 2 files(the error and the reference section from layout.cshtml)  after i copied manually everything from Telerik\Program Files March Q1 2013 to a new subfolder in my project and referenced

Hello Daniel,

The Telerik Upgrade wizard is designed so you needn't create a project every time from scratch but it has its limitations I am not sure why exactly you decided to switch to manual updates. Have you read this article on kendo (LINK)? I am not sure it will help but it should get you familiarized with the structure of the kendo zip.

we work with VS2010,but indeed there is a option Upgrade Wizard,i will try it,thank you.
Initially that link  was the link i was started the upgrade, but it was messy and difficult, you have to pay  a lot of attention to the files, and especially the right path. Finally i managed to work, this way manually, but i hope that wizard we'll do it much easier and safer.

Hi Abilash,

Could you please install the latest version of Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC Visual Studio extensions and give the upgrade another try? These steps will help you do that:
  1. Download Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC extensions from Visual Studio Gallery
  2. Run the downloaded vsix file
  3. Choose your Visual Studio in the install window
  4. Click Install

Once the latest extensions are installed, you can run the upgrade wizard and try to download the latest version.

As another suggestion, you can always access and download your products from your Telerik account.

Please let me know if this helped.

This is because the new Telerik relies on MVC 5. Just look up the google nuget package command for MVC5. You are probably currently using MVC4. I must say, updating Telerik from 2016 to 2017 was a pain.

Hello Casey,

Thank you for writing us.

Currently the Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC VSExtensions download the entire product distribution independently from the MVC version used in the project.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
