When running JAWS against our local environment and I select INSERT+F5 to see the Form Fields, I see a list of Editor buttons, as well as one that says "Unlabeled1 Edit" (I'm assuming it's associated with the editor textarea).  I've tried updating the various controls with a more unique value (e.g., "Note Body Edit"), but so far have been unsuccessful.

This is like this in both Chrome and IE11 and can be seen on the Kendo UI Demo site (http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/editor/index -- where it shows up as "Unlabeled2 Edit") when running JAWS 17.  See attached for a screenshot of what I'm talking about.

How can this be updated?

Sorry, I meant "various underlying elements" (e.g., table, td, body, etc.) of the underlying markup via jQuery.

Hello Matt,

Currently, end user can include such attributes by following the WAI-ARIA specification in the HTML view (viewHtml) of Kendo Editor and type them manually.

There is no built-in tool that can enable end user to create WAI-ARIA complaint HTML with all the required attributes. Which JAWS to eventually read.

If you want to suggest such tool to be implemented and to be available out-of-the-box, you can do so here: http://kendoui-feedback.telerik.com/forums/127393-kendo-ui-feedback.

I don't think you understood my question.  I don't need to allow users to update the markup of the HTML that they generate from within the editor, I need to update the label of the Edit control itself (the area where the user enters text in the Editor control) so that it reads something other than "Unlabeled1 Edit" from JAWS.

If I run JAWS on this reply page, I see that the Reply text area is listed as "Reply to Ianko's post Edit" (although in F12, I only see this text on the section header).

How is this possible?

Hi Matt,

I ran the form field of JAWS against the All Tools demo and I was unable to find such a label. You can see the snapshot of the test here: http://screencast.com/t/Ze8IU7iH.

Are you able to identify which exact tool is giving this label so that I can examine this further?

Ianko
