I would like to hide the "Column3" column and the "Column3" row based on the value of a report parameter.  I can't seem to figure out how to do this with conditional formatting as you can't apply that to a whole column or row in a crosstab.  Can this be done?

I think it may be possible to select COLUMN3 and hide it through conditional formatting or binding but the row is a problem because it is a sub-row of a larger row.

To select the third column, you have to click on above that column's cell, please see the attached image.

The row can also be selected like this but any settings attached to it will affect each sub-row. You may try to unmerge the rows and then apply the settings only to the 3rd sub-row, please have a look at the Unmerge Crosstab row/column headers KB article.

If that is undesired, you may try to individually hide each of the undesired crosstab cells with conditional formatting or binding, or fill them with a special value when they are to be hidden.

If you would need further help, please consider sending us the report alongside some sample data, preferably in CSV or JSON, and we will investigate locally for a solution.
