Google Analytics integration example

Hi all,

I'm reading the documentation page about using Google Analytics to save the tracking data.

Here: https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/winforms/analytics/google-analytics-integration

Question: why not an example using the official Google.Apis.Analytics? 

Instead, there's a reference to a third-party library, which has few commits and downolads.

Why this choice? Is there something I'm missing?

I think everyone would be more comfortable in adopting the official way, if possible.

Hi Valerio,

With this SDK it is simpler to just post the information. At the point, the article was created there was no official API for .NET applications and I do not think there is one now. 

This way is fairly simple and there is a sample application that uses this approach here: ERP demo application for WinForms.

Note, our Google Analytics Integration article demonstrates a simple implementation according to the API provided by the Windows SDK for Google Analytics. We have an ERP demo that aims to provide an example of a real-world desktop ERP application. You can download the complete C# and VB.NET projects here: https://www.telerik.com/support/code-library/erp-demo-application-for-winforms. We don't have any special implementation provided in our example.
