Filtering of columns not working

i have downloaded trial version of Kendo UI Grid. The filtering of the grid column is working only for the 2 to 3 columns, not for all columns (i have 7 to 8 column). Is there any restriction on the number of column can filter on the grid?

 There is no such restriction and column filtering works for all fitlerable columns. This is demonstrated in our online demo: http://demos.kendoui.com/web/grid/local-data.html

In our scenario, we have a toolbar in a grid containing a year drop down which filters the grid based on the selected year and another is the link to create new records. when we apply filter to column, the create new records link is not working.

Please advice.

This does not seem related to the original topic of this thread which was "filtering is not working".

It is very hard to tell what is wrong without seeing your custom implementation. Please send us a runnable project which demonstrates the problem that you are having.
