Hi Basanth,

The Comma-Separated Value (CSV) rendering extension renders reports in comma-delimited plain text files, without any formatting. It uses a string character delimiter to separate fields (, - comma) and rows (<cr><lf>). The resulting file can be opened in a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or used as an import format for other programs. The exported report becomes a .csv file and returns a MIME type of text/plain.

The # symbols in Excel replace the data when the space in the cell is not sufficient to display all the data.

To avoid this behavior our suggestion would be to directly export the reports to Excel. If this is not an option, please check out the How to get of rid of #### symbols in my Excel worksheet article.

All the best,
