Drop down with filter changes postion from above to below when shortened

I have an issue where the initial popup is opened above the drop down list and when you filter and the list becomes small enough it drops below the anchor. 

 Problem is when the drop down is on the bottom of a scrollable page the drop down is obscured and the user can't select the value because the drop down is off screen and when scrolling it closes automatically.

 

Is there anyway to make the position of the popup sticky?

Hello Justin,

 

Please review the Prevent Popup Closure on Scroll "HowTo" example that shows how demonstrates how to prevent the closure of the popup when users scroll the dropdown list and reach the end of a Kendo UI DropDownList. Normally, in such cases the browser will start scrolling the page, which will close the dropdown list.

Hello Justin,

 

On the other hand I would like to add that there is a problem with the DropDownList when it is positioned at the end of the page and filtered. The popup with the filtered items is positioned below the input field instead of top. In this case user is not able to see/scroll the items.

 

It is already logged in our system for fixing. I am afraid that at this point there is no workaround.

Hi Justin,

Unfortunately the discussed issue is still not fixed. Usually we avoid to commit ourselves to a specific ETAs, but I can assure you we are aware of the problem, and it is in the workflow pipeline.
