This is a bit of a strange question, but we have to justify the business case for purchasing Telerik licenses for our development team.

Our biggest saving of effort is in using the ScheduleView control, so we have to estimate how long it would take to replicate the functionality of this control for ourselves. We estimate 6 months development and 3 months of testing - does this sound like approximately the correct amount of time (we are mostly using the main features with some customization)? Is this a question that you are able to answer?

Thanks again.

Hello,

It took us around 9 months to develop the WPF version of the control (small team of 3 devs), almost from scratch and including testing, plus 3 more for Silverlight conversion and more testing and fixing. It depends on your team size and qualification, but I think 6 months for developing the core functionality in Silverlight only, seems doable, especially if you are well aware of the Framework bugs and limitations.

Best wishes,
