Greetings

Can I request a full working example of a couple of custom editors (perhaps the email and password Inputs idea from the documentation site would be a good candidate) but specific to Xamarin.Forms iOS?

The documentation is a bit thin and I can't seem to figure out how the custom editor exposes it's value for the validation logic to pick it up.

Also I couldn't find anything on how to properly position the content of the custom editor to match the location in the middle of the screen with the text left aligned like the other built-in editors would normally do.

Thanks

Hello Fabricio,

You can find a more in-depth example by taking a look at the SDKExamples apps. Find them at the following location on the PC you installed UI for Xamarin on:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\UI for Xamarin R1 2017\Examples

Here's a screenshot of the folder:

Specifically, you want to open the XamarinForms solution.

Once it's open, take a look at the SDKBrowser (Portable) > Examples > DataForm > Editors folder.

There are also many other demos in there such as GroupLayouts (where you can find the GridLayout which should give you the alignment you're looking for).

Here's a screenshot to help you find it quickly.

If you have any further questions after implementing it, please reply back with the problematic code so that we can debug directly.

Hello Lance,

Thanks for your super fast answers. I saw lots of good samples in the location you pointed out but unfortunately I didn't see a single Custom Editor example in there.

Let's try the other way you suggested... How can I upload a zip file with a simple sample project that I just did?

Thanks

Hello Fabrico,

You can only attach such files to a Support Ticket, to open a Support Ticket go here. However, I notice that you don't have a license for UI for Xamarin, so you won't be able to open a ticket (if you're using the product you should have a license as Telerik Licensing is per-developer).

You can get a license by starting a trial (which will give you support during your trial period) or purchasing one (which will give you full support for one year).

Once you open the ticket, let me kkow and I will make sure it's forwarded to the dev team for RadDataForm. They'll be able to help with your specific scenario and get you up and running. Additionally, I'll also take a look at it and see if I can give you a quick answer.

Thank you for your understanding regarding Telerik Licensing and your patience while we work to help get you up and running,
