Control loses focus as soon as PropertyChanged event is fired

I have a RadMaskedNumericInput control with its value bound to a property on my viewmodel. I was the value to update as the user types but as soon as the event fires focus moves to the next field. Is this by design? None of the other field types do this! If I change the UpdateValueEvent property to LostFocus then it's fine but doesn't update the viewmodel as you type. I need this to happen because the current value may be need before focus is lost on the field in question.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on our side. Can you please have a look at the attached sample and let me know if I am missing something. Also if it doesn't illustrate your scenario correctly, please modify it accordingly. And if you can send us a screencast of the behavior on your side, that would be highly appreciated as well.
