What's the difference between typing some text vs inserting a label and typing some text into that label ?

Any reason why somebody would want to use a label vs just type text on the page ?

The only advantage that I can think of is that a label can be updated easily ( e.g user clicks a button , in the event code for the click action one can write something like label1.Text = "some value" )

       We are using a Radeditor(Q1 2011 SP1).After saving data formatting is lost.If I data contains two paragraphs,I can see it is like one paragraph while displaying it in a radgrid.How can I solve this issue?

I have a client asking if they can tie products and departments to stores.  In the database I see a table called storelocations and I see a store number tied to a product, but I don't see anywhere in the interface to set those values.  Is it currently possible?  Am I looking in the wrong place?  I've been looking in the product admin screens

Would be nice to have some way to create or just use a control/graphic/banner that is using the colors of the current theme/skin.  And if you changed said theme/skin this control would change itself as well...

We need to create a Web page using Telerik RAD Controls for ASP.NET AJAX.

The UI design (screenshot) and the business objects will be provided. The coder needs to implement the Web page using Telerik RAD Controls for ASP.NET AJAX q2 2008 and in .NET Framework 3.5.

The deliverables are the ASPX page based on the screenshot, created using Telerik RAD controls along with the code behind that implements the described functionaity built on top of the business objects provided by us. It will include all CSS, JS, images and skin files. Adequate comments that describe code are expected.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is part of a larger project. We plan on outsourcing the whole project based on the outcome of this small project.

In my Account it shows "Manage WebUI Test Studio Keys" not "Manage Test Studio Keys"

I am having a little trouble displaying a variable that's created in a function. I am using an onclick to pass a value from 1-4 depending on the link clicked. I have made the function check to see if the value is 1-4 then created 4 variations of the same variable. So:
if(a=1){
para='text';
}
if(a=2){
para='text';
}
etc

I want to be able to output the value of para anywhere I choose in my html. At the moment I am trying to output the variable in a div using document.write. I have set the variable para outside of the function to make it global, but it still does not work. I know the variable is working inside the function as i have tested it with alert to make sure I'm getting the right value.

any help on this would be great :)

So here is a question I have after seeing a number of forum posts referencing the POS browser that is IE6...  Why do people still make an effort to support IE6?  I mean, the IE6 SP2 was released in 2004--- how many people should really go through all the effort it takes to support a slow, old, buggy browser that is four years old?  It seems rediculous for developers to spend their time trying to get their stuff to work seamlessly with all the new browsers as well as this dinosaur. ;D

Seriously, they stopped making VHS tapes at a certain point because we have newer, better technologies.  Why not drop IE6 like the dead duck it is?

Just my two cents, after dealing with several problems that only pop up in IE6 that my boss wants me to fix. :)

I remember hearing on either Buzz Out Loud (CNET podcast) or Net at Night (Twit) someone who said we should start a movement to respectfully encourage anyone using IE6 to upgrade to IE7 so we can stop wasting our time supporting it.  I fully support this, and feel that the community forum Fun! is a good place to start such a movement.

The Anderson Conservation area is a famous place located at Red Oak Township, 2.5 miles northeast of Red Oak. This area facilitates the environment education and wildlife preservation. The area contains the Wolfe Nature Center with an office, maintenance facilities, environmental education displays and a meeting room. For upland game and native prairie area, the place is managed.

In the 15 acre pond, fishing is allowed during the park hours. The pond contains a variety and rare fish species like Bluegill and Crappie. They maintain state fishing laws and regulations. The entire Anderson Conservation area prohibits hunting. Also no camping is allowed in the area. This piece of land contains approximately 2 miles of scenic walking trails.

Viking Lake is also a part of the Red Oak. It has three picnicking/shelter areas. There is a kitchenette in the Lower Picnic Shelter. Near the Beach Point Shelter there is a beautiful picnic area which is formed by a long sweep of shady, grassy hillside which extends down to the water’s edge. The Upper Picnic shelter has an upper road that gives an excellent view of the lake.

One of the most popular campgrounds in Southwest Iowa is the Viking Lake campground. It is located on the lakeshore and is spacious and shady. The area contains 120 campsites, modern rest rooms and showers and a trailer dump station. The campground also has a playground.
