As a web developer, I have been thrilled to look through all the wonderful features of Microsoft's shiny new IDE, Web Expression.

However, it's SO new, it doesn't look like it supports third-party controls very well at all (yet).  It doesn't seem to accept our custom C#/ASP.NET controls we've developed in house, nor does it want to import telerik's.

Are you all currently working through that issue?  We could find ways to go forward without our controls in order to use Expression, but we really would be stuck without telerik's!

There has been a little bit of criticism of telerik of late wrt hotfixes. in fact I spent more than a day trying to create a standalone version of a rather difficult page to unpick to demonstrate a problem that, I discovered, there was already a fix for.

Can I please suggest that you create a simple mailing list. Users can opt in for details of hotfixes for individual products. The mailing list message would include (a) details of the isssue(s) addressed and a (members-only) area where users could access said hotfix without either having to post a forum request or raise a support ticket.

I don't imagine it would be hard for you guys to ensure that a member with only a subscription to, say, radGrid would have access only to that product's hotfixes.

As of the latest update in Firefox browser (v2.0.0.2 or v1.5.0.10) r.a.d.controls might not behave as expected in some AJAX scenarios. Firefox rendering engine has been dramatically changed in this minor update and JavaScript code (which manages client-side behavior of r.a.d.controls) is now loaded later than in previous versions. As a result r.a.d.controls in specific AJAX scenarios might not be immediately updated and appear to be flickering. We are currently investigating a possible workaround for that limitation but we hope the Firefox team will release another patch to fix this. Nevertheless we will do our best to address the issue as soon as possible. Please, excuse us for the inconvenience.

This problem can also be seen with ASP.NET AJAX JavaScript code as described in this forum thread.

We will continue to provide updates on the problem.

Regards,
the telerik team

There are a lot of threads similar to this:

http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/thread/b311D-tkdec.aspx

Images are often more useful than huge descriptions and will often spare many roundtrips of communication and kilobytes of text (and hours of time) for both telerik and us, developers. So I believe they should be allowed in public forum threads (at least .gif / jpg and png).

I purchased your products last week and i am impressed bug time.

The functionality and support justified the cost.

I would like to see your company/products prosper and see more innovation as time goes by.

Here are some suggestions that i feel need to be addressed to help the customers (and you also);
- Documentations: You have lots of useful information on your website but the problem is the information are scattered and rarely updated.
examples: references to the controls; the documentations does not get updated with each release and when they do they seem to have outdated information.

The number of functionality is overwhelming, its a super bonus to be able to change much and customize to a very fine details but they are not highlighted with examples enough. For example; I find myself going over other people's questions and Tekerik's answers and saying wow i did not know i could do that. Then you will have a link somewhere linking to a useful list of information.

- DNN support: you have to agree that associating your product with DNN got you a good share of clients. I, for example knew about your products from the DNN community.
Telerik's DNN installation files are everywhere and it is very easy to miss something. The download for the DNN controls contains a FULL DNN site. That is large download! while ass we need are teleriks controls.
You have lots to offer to the DNN community but the integration with DNN seemed to have stopped with 2 controls. Even the support for the integration which was a good work for Oliver Hine seem to be stalled. Oliver's work has not been updated for years.
Suggestion; can we start an area on the site for other DNN developers to share (and maybe get rewarded for sharing their modules?).

Again; please take this as constructive criticizm; I love your products and will see how i can help the community as time goes by.

Is there a functionality like "mark all topics read" for a forum?

Lately the number of forums seems to have increased by about a factor of 2x.  It would be nice if there were some way to either hide forums you don't care to see or rollup a group of forums under the main headings.

For example, if I only care about the forums under the heading r.a.d.controls for ASP.NET, I could either hide the other groups of forums completely or roll them up so there'd be only 8 main headings showing instead of ~25 individual forums I don't ever read.
