I thought it worth to post this article on the newsgroup.
http://www.cbronline.com/article_news.asp?guid=484BC88B-630F-4E74-94E9-8D89DD0E6606

The article exposes recent finding of possible "javaScript" attacks that taps into the lack of "same origin policy" found in transports like JSON.
Will and Can Telerik help make their controls less vulnerable to these attacks.

(A note: After I have written this post I realized that tehre is already a thread about this: http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/thread/b311D-ttage.aspx)

Apologies if this post is in the wrong group.

Hi There,

I have a form with 10 comboboxes.  When I set the Skin & SkinPath properties for one combobox, it sets the skin for all the others.

Is there a proper way of specifying a skin for all controls, such as the combobox.  (I don't beleive the method above is proper)

Thank you - Doug.

Hi There,

By default, the calendar refers to the following class for the input portion of the control:

Default_Windows

By default, the calendar icon (for picking a date), comes from RadControls/Calendar/Skins/Default/Img/datePickerPopupHover.gif

Is this by design?  Should the icon and the skin not be the same?  (In this case the class is Windows & for the icon, Default)

Thank you.

Dear friend,

1.
we have a dll from a card reader...
we encapsulate this dll into a VB .NET Class Library...
and we compile it into ACR120.dll

2.
this VB .NET Class library has events, methods, also timer function...

3.
the card reader will be connected in client computer..
Since it's on client side, i can not use ASP .NET to call and use the Class Library

4.
i asked in some forums, some suggested AJAX, some suggested JavaScript...
but nobody gives sample code..

5.
i don't know how to call this Class Library using JavaScript or AJAX...or whatever ?
i try to use object tag but it does work...
......
  <object id="ndcObj" classid=file:///C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\EventACR120\DLL\ACR120DLL.dll height="356" width="367" VIEWASTEXT>
  </object>
.........

6.

but i can not find ActiveX control project in Visual Studio .NET 2003....
i can only find ClassLibrary and Web Control Library for this purpose but no ActiveX Control.........

Pls help me .

Hi There -

I am trying to skin the filtering menu on the grid.

According to the documentation, a class exists named ".GridFilterRow_Default" - "For Skinning the FilteringItem".  For some reason this class does not exist in any of the skins (Telerik, Default, Classic)

I have read that I need to apply this code to the grid itself:

Hi,
I am trying to change the size of the input box in the GridFilterRow.  The style below does not work:

.GridFilterRow_Telerik

{

font: normal 8pt Verdana, Arial, Sans-serif;

height: 18px;

background: blue;

}

I am having the same problem with the footer - is this the class that controls the input boxes?

.GridPager_Telerik

Thank you.

As a web developer, I have been thrilled to look through all the wonderful features of Microsoft's shiny new IDE, Web Expression.

However, it's SO new, it doesn't look like it supports third-party controls very well at all (yet).  It doesn't seem to accept our custom C#/ASP.NET controls we've developed in house, nor does it want to import telerik's.

Are you all currently working through that issue?  We could find ways to go forward without our controls in order to use Expression, but we really would be stuck without telerik's!

There has been a little bit of criticism of telerik of late wrt hotfixes. in fact I spent more than a day trying to create a standalone version of a rather difficult page to unpick to demonstrate a problem that, I discovered, there was already a fix for.

Can I please suggest that you create a simple mailing list. Users can opt in for details of hotfixes for individual products. The mailing list message would include (a) details of the isssue(s) addressed and a (members-only) area where users could access said hotfix without either having to post a forum request or raise a support ticket.

I don't imagine it would be hard for you guys to ensure that a member with only a subscription to, say, radGrid would have access only to that product's hotfixes.
