combobox with drop-down tree

Hi all;
The screenshot here is from out Windows desktop app. Is it possible to do the same thing in Kendo?
The user needs to be able to type in the value for a comparison. They also need to be able to select from the tree. And the tree needs to populate nodes when they are expanded because the tree can have nodes that are circular (ie Salesperson -> Orders -> Order -> Salesperson).
How can I do this?

The page with the screenshot returns "Not found error". Nevertheless if you are referring to a ComboBox with an embedded TreeView, this scenario is currently not supported.

Is there any way I can create this myself to work with the other controls? And if so, do you have any examples, et.c about how to do a custom drop-down for an edit box?

Unfortunately we could not provide such an example. I would suggest you the following articles about Inheriting from custom widgets and Creating custom Kendo UI plugins. Nevertheless I would like to point out that custom modifications to the Kendo UI widgets are out of the scope of our support services.
