Not sure about how to Close the menu when the user clicks outside the menu when the focus is lost?
The menu minimizes but the Icon is still visible.
Can you please suggetst how to hide the menuIcon as well?

Hello Jonas,
This functionality is not available out of the box. Nevertheless, you can achieve the desired behavior by creating custom menu behavior. I have prepared sample project demonstrating how this can be achieved. Let us know if this helps.
