Change event triggered when not changing virtualized dropdownlist

I have a dropdown list with virtualization (https://dojo.telerik.com/AhuQEDEL/2). When I open and close the dropdownlist without actually changing anything the change event is occasionally triggered. I reproduced the odd behavior in this this Dojo. You will notice that the "change" is logged in the console when you open and close the list without selecting anything. This behavior is also inconsistent as sometimes it logs the change and sometimes it doesn't.

Could you please confirm if the issue is reproducible on your side only with local data? I tried to reproduce the same behavior when the virtualization is enabled and the remote dataSource I used, but it seems that with remote data the change event is not fired. Here is a dojo that I used for testing purposes.

I only have local data so I don't know how I would confirm on my end if the bug is only when using local data. Either way, it needs to be fixed.

This dojo makes it clearer that the change event fires when nothing changes. Just open the menu and click outside to close it .

I wanted to double check as the issue was not reproduced on my side when testing in our demos. However, it is replicated in the examples with local data. Thus I logged a Bug report on your behalf and below you will find a link to the item.

the issue is not reproducible starting with Kendo version 2023.2.718. Thus, it has been closed. You can check the dojo linked here where the latest Kendo version 2024.1.130 is used: https://dojo.telerik.com/@NeliKondova/EMEcoTUC

The mentioned version 2024.1.130 is the latest version available for download.
