Is it possible to add comments to cells so that when you highlight the cell it displays the comment? This feature exists in excel as follows:

Cell comments are unfortunately not available at this point, and the feature is not in our short-term to-do list.
You can submit a request on our feedback portal, and depending on its popularity, we can expedite the feature:
