cannot upload binary to iTunes Connect

In iTunes Connect my app status is "Prepare for Submission". I've then tried uploading my app's binary through the AppBuilder Windows client and the browser version, neither work.

I think this has something to do with Apple's new iTunes Connect / app submission workflow.

Attached is the error I get in the AppBuilder Windows client.
