See attached files.

I have a pivot that is mostly functional, however clicking the column block either in the pivot grid or in the configurator indicates the columns can be sorted, but while the icon changes, nothing actually happens. This appears to be a bug.

I have also just noticed the same issue for row groups. The icon indicates there is sorting, but nothing happens.

Hello Tom,

I guess that you are facing the problem described in the Sorting article: Sorting is supported only in OLAP binding scenarios. Currently, you cannot sort the flat data (client cube).

Displaying the sort icon is a little misleading then, no? It is indicated to the user that this functionality exists, and I think there is a strong expectation that it exists. I would certainly take this point of view; it is very strange that I can click that header and the first and second options I am presented with are to sort.

Can you please indicate how to go about reordering these columns programmatically?  would rather implement something to present the data correctly, than leave it in an essentially random order. I have tried digging into the datasource and rearranging the contents of the _columnBuilder object (amongst others), but have had little to no luck.

Hi Tom,

A possible solution is mentioned in the following forum thread, where the data is sorted prior to setting it as a DataSource of the PivotGrid, but it also has its limitations:
