I'm having an odd issue.

I have a custom popup editor with an internal style section. The custom template is based on one I used earlier.

I have an Id selector for two of the fields. The value of this selector was originally set to 250px. If I change the setting to anything larger than 250px, a gray bar appears at the right hand side of the textbox. This only happens when I increase the size of the textbox.

I can't figure out why this is happening.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, then how did you resolve it?

Thanks

I checked to see if the textbox style was being overwritten somewhere else in the application - it wasn't.

Also, when I change the style, to increase the size of the textbox, the gray (inactive/not editable) portion of the textbox grows larger, but the editable area remains the same size..

I tried adding a style directly inline, but that didn't work either - same issue.

Hi Sheila,

Would it be possible to provide a sample where the behavior is isolated and could be observed? Without being able to reproduce it, I am afraid I cannot provide a viable suggestion that would help you resolve the issue.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks Aleksandar!

I've since resolved the issue (although I'm not exactly sure what I did that fixed it).

This issue was related to another issue I was having with a custom editor template. I created a new custom editor template (with a different name), referenced it appropriately in my grid, and this solved both issues.

I'm starting to think that this may have been some sort of odd Visual Studio issue (or possibly a mistake on my part, that I just failed to notice.

Thanks again for the reply.
