Hi,

   I have a main report with 8 sub-reports.

I even checked the KB article on Telerik Reporting renders blank pages, All my main report and sub-reports widths are within the page space. I don't even have crosstab to make data to go beyond right. I have only text and tables which are fixed width fitting within page space. I'm using empty group in my sub-reports in order to have different page header for each sub-report.

Major thing i have is, many panels in each sub-report. Depending on the data, few panels are made invisible. When all the panels are made visible, i don't have any issues. i don't see any blank pages.  But when few panels are made invisible, i get blank pages. blank pages with just the groupheader section is shown.

I've tried with KeepTogether = True and False for the report sections, but of no use. is there anyway to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Siva,

As explained in the "Telerik Reporting renders blank pages" KB article, at design-time the problem might not be obvious, but at run-time some items might be carried over. Please change the background color of panels and subreport to a different, more contrasting color and run the report in the WinForms viewer or export it to PDF. This way the rendered report will immediately give you a clue about the items which are at fault and we can provide you with appropriate advice if it is not clear what should be done to avoid the problem.

Hi Steve,

I checked by specifying various colors for panels. I can't figure out. But when i apply color to sections, colors were seen even on the invisible panel areas also.

Strange. I don't have space either at left or right of the panel. But still it is taking invisible panel area also. Any solution?

Thanks,
sivam

Hi Sivam,

According to your last post, you've narrowed down the culprit for the blank pages to the panels. Quote: "when i apply color to sections, colors were seen even on the invisible panel areas also."
The above means that the panels are stretching out horizontally and this are carried over to a new page. You should now pinpoint what is causing those panels to stretch.

Hi Steve,

If i'm not wrong, you say panels are stretching horizontally, then it should have been noticed when i apply colors to panels and not to sections. But i see only when i apply colors to section, not while applying on panels. When all the panels are visible, i don't see the blank pages. Even when i remove the panels which are made invisible earlier, i do not see the blank pages.

So i think the problem is on rendering the invisible panels.

Thanks,
sivam

Thank you for elaborating.
