I am afraid, this is not implemented at the moment. As an alternative approach, you can provide specific cell style for the cells with appointments. You can find more information in this help topic: Calendar Styling, see the Cell Styling section. You will need to add additional check if the there is an appointment for the date, that corresponds to the current cell.
