I've just installed AppBuilder on Win XP SP3 machine.  AppBuilder starts but doesn't prompt for login and doesn't have the New Project buttons or list any of my previous projects.

I've tried other fixes in the forum (deleting BlackDragon folder and restarting, removing all files and doing clean install, etc.).  I've checked Windows logs and don't see anything related.

Nothing seems to work - any suggestions?

Hi Roger,

There may be a problem with internet connectivity on your machine. To explore the issue, please install Fiddler, start it, delete the "BlackDragon" folder (located in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Telerik) and restart AppBuilder.

Then, in Fiddler, look for the following line:
200 app.icenium.com /Services/Extensions/
followed by lines like this one:

200 cdn.icenium.com /live/graphite/2014.1.217.2/extensions/Telerik.BlackDragon.Client.Modules.AuthenticationModule.xap
These are lines printed by a successful launch of AppBuilder. In your case, however, I expect these lines to be present, but not have the success code 200. Please, check for any lines pointing to cdn.icenium.com or app.icenium.com that are erroneous (they will appear in red). Copy the list of queries made by AppBuilder and send them with your next reply.

Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Regards,
Stefan

Hello Stefan and thank you for your reply.

When I launch AppBuilder it never attempts to GET the AuthenticationModule.xap.   I capture exactly 3 requests in Fiddler and then there is no further activity.

200 cdn.icenium.com  /live/graphite/publish/Icenium.Graphite.application
200 Tunnel to               app.icenium.com:443
200 app.icenium.com /Services/Extensions/    (this one is HTTPS protocol)

I'd hoped it was just a delay and let it sit idle in this state but nothing further happens.  After following this process I checked the (newly created) BlackDragon folder and there's a single log document with one entry:

[2014-03-03 08:10:56.028] Log (Info,None): Version 2014.1.217.2. Deployment location https://app.icenium.com.

No errors or warnings in Windows logs.

I appreciate any insight you can offer.

Hi Roger,

Thank you very much for this information. Unfortunately this information will not be enough to find the cause of the problem. Could you please record and send us the Fiddler log? If you could also zip and send us all the log files, found at %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\Logs\ this could help us diagnose the problem.

Hello Miroslav,

Thank you for your reply.  I will attempt to attach the requested items but the forum does not allow saz or zip files so I've change the file extension from saz to txt - if that does not upload correctly please let me know how I can send these files to you.

I appreciate your assistance.

Hello Roger,

Thank you for sending us this information. It seems that the the plugins list is correct, but none of them gets loaded. This makes me think that the application is corrupted. I know you already reinstalled it, but could you please also try the following steps as we found out some cases in which just deleting the cache and reinstalling doesn't fix the problem:
• Launch Graphite
• Open Task Manager, locate Telerik AppBuilder in the Processes tab, right-click and choose Open File Location
• Uninstall Telerik AppBuilder from Control Panel > Programs and Features > Add/Remove Programs.
• Delete the folder opened in Step 2.
• Install AppBuilder again.

Please let us know if this fix the problem.
