"App package is invalid"

Hi,

I was trying your App Manager but when I want to add a new app I have this error: "App package is invalid", when I upload my .apk file...
How can I have more details about what's wrong?

Hello Raphaël,

This error occurs when AppManager is unable to extract any metadata from the package file (usually due to an error during extraction). If the issue persists, you can open a support ticket and send us the .apk file that you are trying to upload. We will then check the exact error that occurs during extraction and see if it is a problem on our side or an issue with the package itself.

Hi Raphaël,

We managed to find the failed extraction in our logs and saw that it happened because of unsuccessful extraction of the app icon. Can you confirm that your package contains a directory:

res/drawable-hdpi/

and that your app icon is in this directory?

We will modify the behavior of AppManager in the future to skip the image when its extraction fails, instead of failing the entire metadata extraction process.
