Trying to distribute for iOS for the first time...  Cannot install App Manager.  Service appears to be running according to telerik.  Not sure what to do.  Anyone else having problems installing App Manager?  i've tried on two deviced with the same result.  "Unable to Download App" could not be installed at this time.

Hello Tom,

The most common reason for such a problem is when your app is signed with a provisioning profile that is does not include the device you are trying to install the app on, or is not suitable for use in AppManager. From the more detailed description that you provided in your support ticket, I would guess that you are using an AppStore provisioning profile that isn't supported outside of the Apple AppStore. Please confirm if this is the case and write back in the support thread if you have any comments, so we avoid double posting on the issue.

Tsvetina,

I'm actually encountering this same problem using a Development Certificate. How does the app / profile configuration need to be setup in order for my remote team to be able to view the app using the Telerik App Manager?

Hi Corey,

If you are using a Development provisioning profile, you need to gather the UDIDs of your co-workers' devices and add them when creating the provisioning profile. Check out this help article that explains the steps for creating a provisioning profile that you can use to distribute the AppManager mobile app and then your own apps:
Obtaining a Provisioning Profile

Note that, unless you create a wildcard provisioning profile, you will need to create a separate one for each new app.

If you need instructions on how to use the profile to re-sign the AppManager mobile app, check this article, too: Re-sign and Distribute the AppManager Mobile App.

I have the same issue. I am using Apple Developer Enterprise Program with an in-house provisioning profile so I should be able to install on any device. I have tried installing appmanager on multiple ios devices with no luck.

Hello Roger,

Can you confirm the following:

1) The provisioning profile uses a wildcard bundle identifier, e.g. com.telerik.*
OR
2) The provisioning profile you used to sign the AppManager mobile app has a fully qualified bundle identifier, e.g. com.telerik.appmanager, and you are using this profile for the AppManager app only. If you used it for another app that is already installed on the phone, iOS will not install the AppManager app.

If the problem persists, I advise you to create a new AppID in your Apple Dev Center and then a new provisioning profile and use this profile for the AppManager app only.

I will create a new AppID/Provisioning Profile and try that.

 Thank You.
