Hi,
I recently asked Telerik to change my main contact email address, which resulted in a change to my account login email address. This occurred after I had used Telerik Control Panel, and checked the auto login checkbox. Now when I start up Control Panel, it tries to log in under the stored credentials and errors out. There is no way to stop its automation, cancel, change or anything other than exiting or sending the error report along.

I've hunted through the registry and didn't find the credentials. I did find that this path:
[drive]\[windows]\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Telerik\Installer\UserSettings
I've removed the three files there and re-ran the control panel and it still is trying the login with stored credentials. Any ideas?

BTW, I know about and have used the workaround to log into the account on the website and download the installer, but was hoping to resurrect the control panel's functionality.

I think that Control Panel should error out gracefully and allow the user to clear the credentials when this error happens.

tnx

Hello Steve,

Thank you for contacting us.

The following steps will help you to delete the stored credentials on your machine:
  1. Open the following registry key through the Registry Edit tool: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Telerik\
  2. Delete the AccountMail and AccountToken values and close the Registry Edit tool

Next time the Telerik Control Panel is started you will be able to fill your new credentials.

We will further investigate the issue on our side and take the necessary actions.

Please let us know in case any questions arise.

Regards,
Dyanko
