I have a gridview bound to a BindingSource bound to a typed DataSet, with the member specified as one of my DataTables
.
I've updated the SQL for the dataset, but when I add columns to the gridview, I don't see those new columns in the DataField dropdown.  Even if I type in the name of the field to bind to, the column is empty.

What do I need to do?

The problem was that the DataSet desginer properties was missing the CustomTool setting, hence the code generation wasn't working.

Hello Simon,

Thank you for writing.

We have not found any issues related to refreshing the DataField dropdown for the column designer, after the SQL is changed in the bound DataTable.

Please recreate your typed DataSet, and let us know whether the issue persists.

If you have additional questions, please write us again. We'll be glad to help.

Kind regards,
