Adding Alerts, Notifications, Alarms

    What is the easy way to do this with the scheduler? Anyone have a sample project or any ideas on how to go about this? 

    I want an "alert" to go out about 15 minutes before the start of the appointment...

    an email to be sent out or even a msgbox pop up. it can even be at the time of the appointment. 

    I am sure i am making this problem harder than it has to be.

    Hello TwoLaJit,

    We have alerts in our TODO list. Unfortunately, I am not sure that we will be able to implement this feature for Q2 2009 release, as there are other features with higher priority that we have already planned.

    However you could try to implement this using a timer for example that checks every, say every 10 seconds, if an alert should be shown depending on the appointments for which you have set up alerts.

    And in the mean time any suggestions for this feature are most welcome.

    Yep. I am currently just devising a seperate application that runs on a spare machine to check every minute or so.
