Hello,
I created 6 report files. Each file has its own table, text description and chart. I added these 6 files into a Report Book.

Now I have a question, how do I make a table of contents to correspond to these title in these files, the directory may be similar to the picture

Thanks

Hi Wei,

Take a look at the following tutorials on how to create a table of contents of the Report Book:

In addition, adding a TOC to a Report Book is demonstrated in our Report Book demo which you can find locally at the installation folder of our Reporting tool - by default this would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Progress\Telerik Reporting [Version]\Examples\CSharp\ReportLibrary\ReportBook.

I hope this will help get started. Let me know if any additional questions pop up.

Hi,

I set Reportbook Toc and link 6 files title, it ok:-)

but now I want the report has Cover and start from page 1, can you teach me which way I can set the TOC from page 2 ? it just two options: Before Reports or After Reports.

Other question, if I export word and some title too long, the text of the table of contents will be half...is there a solution?

Hi Wei,

You are correct that the report book TOC can only be positioned before or after the report book content. Telerik Reporting does not support a report book TOC in-between reports at the moment. Please refer to the following feature request item in our public feedback portal for more details on the matter:

https://feedback.telerik.com/reporting/1356830-position-of-report-book-table-of-contents-to-be-customisable

As to the second question - there are some rendering consideration when exporting to Word, you can take a look at these here: Word Rendering Design Considerations.  You would need to set report items' TocText in a way that long titles to be avoided or use an expression to adjust the length when needed.
