One of the things that my organization has identified as a serious gap with TFS is its lack of a "program" entity (group of projects / releases consolidated under a single program), and its lack of cross project reporting.

I've read about xView's cross project reporting capabilities with great interest, and believe that it will help us over one of the hurdles. Does xView get us any closer to the concept of a program?

Also: can someone please comment on the ability to do something like consolidate burn-down reports across projects/iterations using xView?

Thanks!

Hi Lars,

We identified that same lack of cross project reporting in TFS that your organization saw (and it's not just TFS, many other tools do not do a great job managing work and people across multiple projects). It that reason that we build xView and are continuing to expand upon it with each release.

Our R4 release (scheduled for early July), will have some improvements to xView, but nothing to help logically group projects together or display consolidated burndowns.

We're currently planning our R5 release, so I encourage you to visit our feedback portal at http://bit.ly/TeamPulseFeedback and enter your request in there.

Each release, we use the votes that we see on these items to help drive what features we include in our upcoming releases.

All the best,
