We are looking for a highly-experienced Telerik WPF (C# or VB) programmer who also has a keen eye for the creative side when it comes to creating great looking line of business applications. Candidates must possess considerable Silverlight/Blend experience in VB.NET, C#/VB combined with LINQ, Silverlight, SQL and all the related technologies used in typical WPF applications.
The specific task is to develop the desktop application utilizing Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) technology that will allow user to enter information online/offline with tablet PC. The information can be sync to the production database when Internet connection becomes available.
This is a contract position which we anticipate will last 2 to 4 months. You would have the option to work remotely from your own home office or within our corporate office located in Agoura Hills, CA.
APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT REQUIRMENTS
- Application must be able to run independently with or without Internet connection
- Must work flawlessly with a tablet PC
- Information can be entered using stylus and hand writing recognition from a tablet PC
- Professional, eye catching looking UI and Easy to use
- Easy to integrate with our existing web-based application
- Customizable user data input form and report
- Able to track all activities within the application (tablet PC) or from remotely
- Minimum changes to an existing business process, logic and the database
- Must be able to sync data securely with no interruption to our production database
- Easy to Install and updateable Application – Application can be updated automatically without user interaction
QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal candidate should have been immersed in Microsoft .Net development for quite some time and be completely familiar with all the latest developments in the .Net and WPF worlds
- The finalists must be very familiar with blend and is able to craft artistic and pleasing interfaces and possess better than average skills for creating great user interfaces
- Candidates must have experience developing in WPF/Silverlight and be able to provide samples of completed applications
- 5+ years experience with .Net / VB / C# programming
- Knowledge of Web 2.0 concepts and user interfaces
- Expert user of Visual Studio 2008
- Expert in Microsoft SQL Server 2008
- Can work with very complex SQL query, stored procedure and functions.
- Very experienced in Blend for creating Silverlight or WPF user interfaces
- Artistic eye
- Must have very good English writing skills to document your work and providing user documentation.
- Experience with Telerik controls a major plus
- Very experienced with IIS / Html / Javascript / ASP.NET / LINQ / MS SQL
- Comfortable with Photoshop and other common tools used in web development
