WP7 and Windows 8 task app sync

Hello,

I recently purchased the windows 8 app sync telerik cloud services app. I was under the impression that the tasks from the phone and desktop would sync but they do not. I was thinking it would be like the Astrid service. Am I wrong ? I paid for the 2.99 version.

Hi Raymond,
All associated with the Telerik Cloud provider data should be synced.
Could you, please comment what is not synced in order to be able to help you to troubleshot that.

I downloaded the Task app from the windows 8 store  to my Windows 8 computer. I purchased the Telerik cloud service for the synchronization. Then I went and downloaded the task app for my windows phone 7 device. Tried to use the same credentials as the desktop app and I get "Synchronization Error, Exchange authorization failed. Please check your username and password, or "Unable to connect to your Exchange account.

I do not have an exchange account, that is why I went with the telerik cloud services. Is this wrong?

Hello Raymond,
For Windows Phone 7 the highest possible to download version of Tasks is v.1.37 into which only Exchange sync is supported. You have tried to add the Telerik cloud provider credentials for the Exchange provider, that's why you've got such an error.
The Telerik cloud sync option is supported only into Windows Phone 8 versions of Tasks (WP1301 is the latest available for download at the Marketplace).
