With the current build of the controls the only thing that happens during compilation are about 100 warnings related to resources, "No default or neutral resources given", for just about every control in the assemblies referenced in this case...  Compilation completes and app works but I fear that language globalization might be an issue for those that do globalize their apps.

I have also run into this issue when downloading the new UI for Windows Phone 8 when building for Windows Phone 8.1.

Warning 7 No default or neutral resource given for 'Telerik.Windows.Controls.Resources/TrialReminderPeriodMessage'. The application may throw an exception for certain user configurations when retrieving the resources.

Warning 1 Cannot find the neutral resource language for the resources for portable library 'Telerik.Windows.Controls.ImageEditor'. Verify that the portable library defines a NeutralResourcesLanguageAttribute.  The build is continuing assuming the project's default culture of 'en-US' correctly identifies the portable library's neutral resources. Hi Jake, Morgan,

Telerik UI for Windows Phone 8 targets only Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone Silverlight 8.1. It is not supported on Windows Phone 8.1 as this is an entirely different XAML stack.

We're currently working on building a Windows Phone 8.1/Windows 8.1 (universal) suite that will enable you to write apps for Windows Universal and continue using the features of Telerik UI for Windows Phone.

@Morgan:

Can you please try changing the locale on your phone to see if a crash will occur because of missing resources?

Hi Deyan,

Sorry I could have given more details.  I am using Visual Studio Express 2013 for Windows.

I have my application for Windows Phone Silverlight 8.1 and I am getting 158 Warnings.  Here is another error:

Warning Resources found for language(s) 'de-de, fr-fr, it-it' but no resources found for default language(s): 'en-US'. Change the default language or qualify resources with the default language. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=231899

The version I am using is 2014.1 0226 from the Telerik Control Panel

Please let me know if you have any more questions for me.

Thanks again for your assistance!

did the reboot with another language didn't get any errors associated with the language but of course since I wasn't taking advantage of any localization it might have actually failed.

Hello,

Do we have a fresh status about tihs issue ?
I compile my Silverlight WP app targeting W8.1 silverligh  with ver 2014.1 0226 and I have hundreds of warnings like :

"
Warning 74 No default or neutral resource given for 'Telerik.Windows.Controls.Resources/..."'. The application may throw an exception for certain user configurations when retrieving the resources.
"

My app seems to work fine but I'm not comfortable with all this warnings related to the default language

thanks

JP
