What's up with Minifier?

Nothing works within the minifier. Can't load assemblies and/or permanently stuck on "extracting" when trying to optimize a .xap file. Been trying all morning with no luck. Is there an offline version of this that can be used? Was hoping to test a few things today.

Hi Greg ,

There is no offline offline version of Telerik Minifier.
We are aware of the XAP minifier issues and especially the one when choosing big XAP file which makes the Minifier hang. Unfortunately, we cannot provide an estimated time frame when this will be resolved. However, we highly suggest you to use the Assembly Minifier instead. You can also check out this useful post.

I thought this issue was first reported back in 2010?  Still not fixed?

Hello Edward,

 We have plans to improve the Minifier and fix the major issues with it, but this particular is a big technology challenge, because of the nature of the Minifier. Considering the algorithm behind it and the amount of XAML and classes contained in bigger xaps, this operation will be slow. We will try to improve it for sure, but still we don't have exact date when this will happen.
