It is quite unfair that you will have such a lead time, if you do eventually release these controls for WinRT and if you do not intend to release these controls for store apps, could you please clarify why?
This would be a form of course change for Telerik and needs to be given broader notice so that your developers can start looking at other options with respect to store application controls if it is Telerik's intention to gain a competitive edge in this space.
If Telerik is not intending to compete with its customers on WinRT, could you please provide a timeline for when these controls will be release in the context of the Win8 XAML toolkit.

We are definitely not trying to compete with our customers in the Microsoft Store and we are actively working on expanding the available controls that are part of the RadControls for Windows 8/XAML as you can see from our product roadmap.
That said, AppMock is a separate project that is more like a proof-of-concept and research and development effort for us into the realm of the new Windows Store Apps design paradigm. Simply put, its building blocks are not isolated as stand-alone components in their current form and therefore we cannot release them as part of the XAML toolkit for the time being. Also, we cannot commit a time frame for the availability of these components right now as this task is not part of the Q3 2013 backlog.
We are hoping to collect some useful feedback of what's good and what does not fit so well prior to proceeding with our future planning so we would be glad if can share your thoughts on what would be useful for you from AppMock and we will forward your feedback to our developers for further review and evaluation.
