Hi Team,

I am evaluating 'WebUI Test Studio -Develop editions' for Test Automation of our silverlight project. But sometimes it throws strange error(attached with this post).

I dont know why this error occurs. once we receive this error, then after no steps are recorded by the tool.

We are getting this error when following steps are executed:

Step 1. Open Test Studio from Visual studio
Step 2. Launch new browser using recording button of the webUi tool.
Step 3. Open the silverlight Application URL in the Browser.
Tool behaviour: After Step 3, Sometimes it throws error mentioned in attached screenshot.

My Machine configuration details are below:
OS: Windows XP
Browser:IE8
Telerik Tool: Trial version of Test Studio-Develop Edition
Machine RAM: 2GB
Free space in C drive: 3 GB

Hi,

We face this error, not very often, somtimes only. What should we do to resolve this issue. Application is hosted at client server. So we dont have access to it. We just access it using URL.

Hello Gaurav,
I would recommend that you upgrade to the brand new R1 release of Test Studio. You can download from your Telerik account (screenshot 1).

Since you state that the issue occurs randomly that might meant that you just need to increase the Silverlight timeout in your tests. Here's a video demonstrating how to add a Settings file to your project and use to configure the Silverlight timeout attribute:
