Hi,

I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of the VB.Net version of the Weather Station demo?  All the download page gives me is the option to download the crumby C# version.  I tried converting the project using every converter known to man-- including a professional one (Instant VB.Net) but the conversion always fails with multiple errors.  I'm assuming since you're an equal opportunity tools provider, you'll have equal resources for all developers-- even us lowly VB.Net developers.  It's bad enough that most of the Telerik TV and Blog content is worthless to us as a resource-- here's to hoping your demos are more useful.

Thanks!

Hello Kurt,

We have managed to convert the solution to VB, please find attached the converted version.

Hope you find this useful.

P.S.: In order the application to work after running it, do not forget to put two text files needed in the Web project - BMKey.txt and WWOKey.txt with Bing maps key and World Weather Online service key under WeatherMonitor.Web folder.

Best wishes,

As always, you guys are elite.  Your superior product combined with superior controls makes everyone else look like amateurs. This works great.

Happy Holidays,

I need help with the text files.  Exactly how are they formatted and in what directory sub=direct placed?  I have the keys...  Just not sure exactly what the text files must contain...

Hello b,

The WWOKey.txt file should contain just the key given by the weather service without any other symbols, like:
xxxxxxxxxx123456789123

The same is related to the BMKey.txt file - just the key for the Bing maps provider.

Both files should be situated in the root folder of the web application (WeatherMonitor.Web folder of the attached solution).

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,
