I'm running Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate SP1, and have Telerik RadControls for Silverlight Q1 2011 installed (Telerik.Windows.Controls.dll has a version number of 2011.1.0315.1040), and I'm runing into a blocking issue.  The issue I'm having is that the items in the Toolbox window aren't appearing correctly.  The toolbox displays many items, but as I hover over an item, the 'real' item that is in the slot is displayed.  Also, when I expand and collapse groups in the toolbox, I find that all other groups go away. This is true for both items and tabs in the Toolbox, and it's gotten so bad that I can't find anything within the Toolbox.

I've tried a number of things, like restart VS, restarting my OS (Windows 7 Pro), and resetting my toolbox, etc... but nothing helps.

I've asled my co-workers and the same behavior is happening to them as well.  Their suggestion is to not use the Toolbox window and for me, that's not an option as that's my prefered workflow.

At this point, I don't know if this is a Microsoft bug (which i suspect it is) or a Telerik bug, but I thought I'd post here and see if this is a known issue.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hello Jeff,

Unfortunately, the issues you experience are not known to us. The way you describe it, there seems to be a problem with the redrawing of the Visual Studio 2010 IDE panes. To verify that the issue is not caused by third party extensions you can disable the extensions from VS2010 | Tools | Extension Manager and try to reproduce the problem.

If the problem persists try disabling all Visual Experience options from VS2010 | Tools | Options | Environment

I hope this helps. Don't hesitate to write if you have more questions.

All the best,
