Hi,

I am using the trial version of Telerik Test Studio to see if we want to use it for our company. Does it integrate with Visual Studio Team Services? We only have the online version, we do not have the desktop version. If so is there a help article that details the setup?

Thanks,

Kyle

Hello Kyle,

Yes, Telerik Test Studio does integrate with Visual Studio Team Services. You may check out Team Foundation Service (which was the former name of Visual Studio Team Services) article for detailed information.

However, if this does not answer your question, please, let us know how we could assist you further and provide us further information regarding the integration you want.

Thanks, I was able to get them connected. I appreciate the help. As another question do you know of a good article on associating automated Telerik tests with VSO test cases? I have pushed a test into VSO but have been unable to figure out how to associate it to a backlog item. Thanks.

Hi Kyle,

Thank you for contacting Telerik Support.

To be able to associate automated tests with VSO test cases you should use Visual Studio test explorer. All described details in the article are applicable.

In addition if you run your tests in TFS build, you can also associate the test results from the test runs with test cases. Just make sure that you use jUnit format for results output: check out for more details - MTM.

Hope this information is useful.

Let us know if we could assist you further.

Thanks Vera, we are currently using Visual Studio Team Services. This has a test plan section but does not have a section named Test Explorer. Is that a different product? Can you show me how to link Telerik cases to Visual Studio Team Services items. Thanks.

Hi Kyle,

You can use Visual Studio Team Services to associate the results from a test run.

However, Test Explorer is a Visual studio feature which you can learn more about at Visual Studio Test Explorer article. In addition the Test Explorer is a source control viewer in Visual Studio.

Hope this answers to your questions.

If you need further assistance, please, let me know.

Vera
