Hello

Are there any plans on turning your code converter into a Visual Studio Addin like: http://codeconvert.codeplex.com/

If so, I think project/solution conversion would be a great feature.

Thanks

Lucifer

Hello Robert-

There are no immediate plans, but this is definitely something we can work on in the future. The VS2010 MEF support will likely make this much easier, so we'll evaluate building an add-in for that next year. We agree that it would be convenient to have code conversion via an add-in.

Thanks for the feedback and good idea.

I tried the converter with VB (not VB.NET).
It produced C# code.
Does the converter convert VB 6.0 code to C# correctly?

Hi Jim,

The Code Converter is only designed to convert between VB.NET and C#. VB6 may look like it is converting since in many ways it is syntactically similar to VB.NET, but you are likely to hit problems quickly. We use the NRefactory engine for conversions, so we can only fully support conversions between .NET languages.

Hope that helps.
