Downloaded the setup package twice incase it was corrupt after unzipping and running on Vista Business Edition I'm getting the following:

"This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."

Any workarounds to get this installed on Vista?

Hello John Daldry,

The best way for us to find out what happens is if you send us the installation log file.

Please start the installer from the comman line:

msiexec /I telerik-openaccess-orm.msi /l* install.log

And send the logfile to us.

Hi,

OK, I've just solved this...

When I extracted the zip file, I used the built in unzipper in Directory Opus file manager (I don't know what the other person used).

Everything looked fine, but when I double clicked (In Opus) the msi file, it failed with the error message given.

I then tried to execute the msi from the dos prompt, as Telerik asked me to do, and for some reason I couldn't change the directory to
"cd Telerik_OpenAccess_ORM_3_1105_dev"

However, I could see the directory in Opus fine....

The problem..... there is for some reason a SPACE at the front of the directory name, which I couldn't see in DOS or Opus......!!

This is what is causing my msi file to fail.  If I simply move the msi file to a directory without a space, it all works fine!

Happy days!  :o)
