Hello, I've encountered a problem when I am trying to use a custom .master file, when I set a page to use the master file and I get into the whole editing zone, the drag and drop fields and such. If I want to drag over lets say, a content block: I get duplicated blocks, like each click I get the selected item duplicated and can't drag the "top" element, but only the duplicated ones onto the custom master "design".

This happens in both Content and Layout mode, and also stuff is not working correctly, for example the content blocks, I cannot click "More formatting options".

As you can see I can enter the advanced tools in Content blocks editing, but it's messed up.

I'll post screens to explain the situation a bit better.
Regards.

Hi ,

Can you provide us the code of your master page and the CSS files. It looks like a strange CSS issue. Also a good practice is not to set height property on your elements (the content placeholders are going over each other). Just let your elements flow, the will expand the parent element.

I found out the solution to the problem and it's due to the internet I was browsing the backend with, It's Internet Explorer 9 (Which is having these visual errors in the backend) - My bad, it's a cool new browser.

And, do I not need to set height of anything? For repeating backgrounds in headers and such?

Regards.

Hello,

I am really glad that you have resolved the problem. The height property can only assist you when you work with the backend. There aren't any differences to the client.

Of course if there are very specific visuals on the website you should set 'height". But for every region that can be expanded by the content in some moment you can just leave it without "height" or using only "min-height"
