It would be nice if could make replies on selected comments, instead of just posting a regular comment thats not attached to the orginal comment made.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your feedback. I'll add it as a feature request in our TeamPulse project. In order to help us clear the idea I just have one question - how do you prefer to see the comments: in a hierarchical structure, or more forum like - showing the comment it is being replied to at the beginning of the new comment?
For now I can suggest you a rough work around - select the comment you are replying to, copy (Ctrl + C) it and then paste (Ctrl+ V) it at the beginning of your comment.

My opinion is that a hierarchical structure would be great, and also the person who wrote the comment replied should be able to get a notification email.

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback. In your opinion, would 1 level of threading in the hierarchy (similar to what Facebook does) be enough? Or would you prefer multiple levels giving the ability for threads to spawn additional threads and so on?

All the best,

We use something similar to 1 level threading at other application, and it does work, but sometimes is not enoughso I think a tree-like hierarchy would fit better.
For example,  when someone wants to "join" some discussion over a particular requirement, they want to answer to someone (and a notification will be sent only to him/her, and maybe the person who started the comment too), not everyone, .

Hello Raquel,

Thank you for elaborating on the topic. As you may already know, notifications are sent just to people, who have subscribed for particular item or using rule based settings. Also, notifications for comments are sent only when you have subscription for the parent item. Having this in mind, do you prefer another method of notification - based on the comment themselves not the parent items?

Greetings,

If someone can answer to other person comment, yes, there could be another option at Personal settings like "Email me when... someone answer to my comments".

Hi,

I've added your new feature request to our list.

The two requests are:
  • Recieve a notification when somebody comment my comment
  • I want to replies on selected comments, instead of just posting a regular comment thats not attached to the orginal comment made

If you have other suggestions or ideas do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
Jordan
