Hello,
Unless I am way off track the latest style builder does not seem to work correctly. For example if I create a new MVC skin based upon an existing skin (Telerik skin), the splitter arrows are not included in the generated sprite. There are a few other things changed that don't work correctly, but if an updated style builder is on it's way i will wait.

Hello Frazer,
Yes, the Visual Style Builder has not been updated yet to the latest version of the MVC extensions. This will be done within the next couple of weeks.

I just wasted an hour with the broken stylebuilder, before I discovered that it was known to not function. I tried IE, Chrome, and Safari and all failed.
Instead of burying the fact that it's broken somewhere in a support forum, why don't you put a notice right on the style builder's page to alert users to the issue and work-around? It was _very_ frustrating to me that the breakdown in communications wasted my time. You need to let you customers know about this stuff!

I am sorry about your frustration. Please notice that the previous posts in the current thread are one year old and the style builder has been updated since then. The discussed problem (Splitter arrows not included in the sprite image) is not an issue anymore and I have just verified this.
Can you please clarify what problems did you expecience exactly and we will check on our side.

Hi Dimo, thanks for your quick response. I did see a couple threads on the Style Builder not working, and happened to choose this one for a reply/new issue. The other threads were more current so it seems that people are still having issues.
Anyway, with either IE9 9.0.8112.16421, Safari 5.1.4, or Chrome 18.0.1025.168, all on 64-bit Windows Server 2008R2, the style builder basically didn't work. With FireFox 12.0 it works OK, with the exception of what's mentioned in my last paragraph below.
By "didn't work", here's what I mean (the reproduction case): At stylebuilder.telerik.com, go into New Skin, ASP.NET MVC, pick Windows 7 as the base, then set a skin name and click Create. Next go into fine-tune. In any item (I chose Grid and also Menu at another time) set some color for Background and click the Save button. Then go to another control type and the background color is lost. Come back to the original control and it's gone from there too. The Load Last Save doesn't restore the color. None of my setting choices appear to "stick" in the UI.
In a separate but related issue, numerous area selection buttons (such as ">> Hovered child items") point to the wrong area, that is if you change their color, some other part of the UI changes (so not the area you thought would change). And in some cases changing text color doesn't apply in the UI - I have to manually change the .CSS file.
So I think if your developers/testers use various browsers (and maybe 64-bit versions), these issues would become readily apparent.

Hello Jim,
You are right the the fine tune mode works only in Firefox. I will pass this on to the responsible developers and sorry once again for the miscomunication.
On the other hand, I was not able to reproduce the problem with style settings being lost when changing the component.
