Unwanted space on X Axis bar chart

I created a bar chart (see attached image) and set the MinValue, MaxValue and Step properties accordingly. However, as you can see from the highlighted area in the image there is a large space on the left. The MinValue is Jan 04 and I would like the x axis to start with this instead of having the padding. This also occurs at the end of the chart series (not shown in image). There is some padding after the MaxValue.

How do I get the chart to fill the entire axis?

I found a solution for this - setting the AxisX LayoutMode property to Normal seems to do the trick.
