Tooltips from Graphite are showing up as overlays in other applications (including the simulators) when the editor  window does not have focus. This is happens very regularly.     Switching back to the main window can make them disappear but they tend to re-appear after that.

See screen shot.

Hi Nick,

This problem has been reported several months back and we found the culprit to be in the CefSharp framework we use in the Icenium simulator. Also this problem only occurred whenever you navigate away from the simulator, not from Graphite main window.
We fixed the problem and the fix is already present in the latest Graphite version. So our suspicion is that your Icenium simulator files might be wrongly cached to an older version. Please delete all contents in the %localappdata%\Temp\IceDeviceSimulator folder. and restart Graphite to see whether the problem still exists.

Another thing to try is wipe clean the Graphite installation in case it got corrupted somehow:

  1. Close all Icenium Graphite instances. Open the Task Manager and make sure that there are no running processes with the name Icenium.Graphite.exe. If there is - kill it.
  2. Uninstall Graphite.
  3. Delete all contents in the %localappdata%\Temp\IceDeviceSimulator folder.
  4. Delete all contents in the  %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\ folder.
  5. Delete all contents in the  %localappdata%\Apps\2.0 folder.
  6. Re-install Graphite.

Steve
