It would be nice if there was a filter option to limit the results to those in the current file.

Changing the grouping then searching for the current file in the list and then double clicking on the item I want just isn't worth the effort when it's quicker to "^F ToDo <return>"

Hi Stuart Hemming,

Thanks for the suggestion. We logged it and added a PITS item for you here.

I note, with no little surprise, that I'm the only one to have voted for the PITS item

Does that mean everyone is:
  1. Happy with the way this functionality works?
  2. Simply not using it?

If the majority answer is "2" can I push to get the item moved up the list as I really do want to use it but can't.

If, of course, the majority answer is "1" I'll just shut up, sit in a corner and sulk.

Hello Stuart Hemming,

Whatever the case is (we hope it's 1 :) we'll push it forward. We don't want any of our users to sulk in corners, hopefully you'll see that in some of our coming internal builds.

Kind Regards,

Stefan,

Just got to have a play with build 1215. Definitely a step in the right direction.

If I were to ask for anything it would be that the FilterBy dropdown included Current file so that the list updated when I switched files in VS.

Nice going though, thanks.

Hello Stuart,

Thanks for the feedback. We'll definitely consider adding such a filter if it will work for you better than the current ones.

Stefan, What it will do is make the navigator a "no overhead" tool. By setting the filet to "current file only" and having it update whenever I switch tabs means that I can confidently 'tag' my source and not miss stuff. I appreciate you putting this much effort in to this request given it got no support from elsewhere, so I will understand if you choose /not/ to take this final step, but if you did, it just adds another tick to the justCode's 'awesome' column. -- Stuart
