Time scale Year and months

I would like to use the GanttView chart to show our projects from the start of the current month to the end of the calendar year. I would also like the time scale to be in months. I cannot seem to find the way to achieve this, though. 

I have tried setting the visible range to the start of the current month and the end of the visible range to the the end of the year, but that does not seem to work. Any help would be appreciated. 

Edit: let me re-phrase this top make it clearer. I need to change the "zoom" so that days become invisible and the time scale shows just the months. Basically in the way that this Gantt shows the months and does not go down to the time scale of weeks or days.

The very first thing I ever do is look at the demos and the online documentation. There is no information in any of the demos regarding how to do what I am attempting. The closest thing is implementing the zoom component featured in the demos but I don't believe any of the demos shows an example of the converter used for the zoom.

yesterday afternoon I was able to find an example of the converter in an episode of Telerik TV and this has at least helped me understand how PixelLength works. But this still does not get me what I am looking for.

Telling someone to look at the Demos when the demos are nearly always incomplete and frequently contain errors is a poor answer. Especially when not one of the Demos looks the way I want my gantt to. I really want the Month to be the largest time scale and I want each month to be visible in the chart pane without the user having to adjust a slider.

Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent control! But the documentation and examples for it are really lacking right now. I'm sure once it has been around for a while that will change.

Please excuse us for the incomplete documentation. RadGanttView is still a CTP and that is why its documentation is not very detailed. We will add more topics when this controls goes official.
