Hello Sir/Madam,

I am not able to run the ExampleCS_SL project. The error that i receive is "The entity 'ExamplesWeb.Customer' does not have a key defined. Entities exposed by DomainService operations must have at least one property marked with the KeyAttribute." and this error occurs in GridView.CS file. And I am unable to trace the problem. Can you please guide me through this issue.

Regards,
Sandeep M Shetty.

Hi Sandeep,

Well, this type of error usually occurs when you try to run our examples with an incompatible version of Ria Servies. If you are indeed using our latest service pack release please make sure that you have the latest WCF Ria Services installed.

Kind regards,
Milan

Hello Sandeep,

Hum, seems that you have the latest Ria Services installed.

This error usually occurs if you try to run the previous version of our examples (2009.3.1103) with the latest Ria. Could you please double check that you are indeed trying to compile the ExampleCS_SL project from our service pack release.

All the best,
Milan

Hello Milan,
Thanks for the generous reply, I have overcome with the issue. As the latest version of RIA Service wasn't compatible with the latest release of telerik , I tried with the older version of RIA Service. Its working fine now. :)

Hi Skender,
It seems that their are steps to be followed to migrate from .Net RIA Service to the latest WCF RIA Service. Please follow the link here: http://www.whycantyoucode.com/2009/11/verbose-steps-to-migrate-a-silverlight-application-from-net-ria-services-july-09-to-wcf-ria-services-pdc-09/ . The one I had installed is the July Version(older one).

But meanwhile I can forward you the older RIA Service, as I couldn't find it on the internet. My mail id is : sandeepmshetty@gmail.com.
Send me a mail on the given mail ID.

Regards,
Sandeep M Shetty.
