Telerik,

I Love you guys but whoever thought it was a good idea to rename the OpenAccess ORM to simply "Data Access" was out of their mind!!!

Searching (Google or Telerik) for topics related to the ORM was bad enough, but now, with such a generic name, it'll be so badly intermixed with other topics that it'll now be damn near impossible.

Hello Greg,

I appreciate the feedback and I can understand your point of view.

I would like to correct one misunderstanding though - OpenAccess ORM is renamed to "Telerik Data Access". We have deliberately chosen a name that is not a brand but describes the product functionality together with the company name, which is our new naming convention and aims at bringing all Telerik products closer together. What that means for resources searching is that "Telerik Data Access" should bring the proper results, while "Data Access" will not be useful outside the Telerik website.

On the other hand, "Data Access" should bring you the proper results within the Telerik website. I will be glad if you could pinpoint some example searches for Data Access in the Telerik web site which haven't met your expectations, as we are still working on converting some of the resources and tweaking the overall content after the re-branding, so we might be able to react to any broken experience of this kind and improve it.

Do not hesitate to voice your concerns in any aspect of the changes we have applied - we are looking forward to explaining further the outcomes and addressing the issues.

Regards,
Ivailo
