Hello Tommy,

Currently the latest Windows UI Library 3 version is Preview 2, however it does not support xaml islands. My suggestion would be to follow the Windows UI github page and documentation for any future developments towards this functionality.

WinUi 3 supports xaml islands and based on. NET 5.

Is it possible to add Telerik. WinUI.Controls to a. NET 5 application?

Hello Tommy,

Thank you for the updates.

The specified article outlines the future plans for the WinUI framework. For the time being the latest version available is Preview 3, which does not support the xaml islands functionality. You can check out the official roadmap here, which indicates the current time frame for this feature.

With this in mind, as of today, using the Telerik WinUI controls in a WPF application is not supported. That said, you can try out the Telerik and native Microsoft WinUI components in a WinUI application. You can also follow closely the WinUI roadmap in order to find out about future developments.

ohh Vladimir !

Hello, you are right. Even version 3 won't be eligible to host the xaml islands. Only some future post 3.x version.

If the islands were available for the plebs, could I incorporate your controls into a .NET 5 application ? Or is it something on your roadmap. I just like the Telerik charts so much that I indeed wish to enrich one of my app with that control.

Best Wishes !

Hello Tommy,

Since, the Telerik WinUI controls do not differ from the native controls in their essence, when the Xaml Islands feature is introduced, you should be able to use our controls in a xaml island. Of course, we will make sure that this is indeed the case when Microsoft release this functionality in a future version of WinUI.

Do let us know, if you have any other questions or feedback regarding the Telerik WinUI controls.
